Required Software

Xpose 4.0

• R (2.2.0 or better)
  Xpose >= 4.0 requires R, the open-source equivalent of S-PLUS, to run. R is available from its developers at no charge, and is licensed under the GNU GPL version 2. Only Microsoft Windows platforms are supported.
  

• Hmisc (3.0 or better)
  The Hmisc library for R contains many functions useful for data analysis, high-level graphics, utility operations, functions for computing sample size and power, importing datasets, imputing missing values, advanced table making, variable clustering, character string manipulation, conversion of S objects to LaTeX code, and recoding variables.
  

• gam (0.96 or better)
  The gam library for R contains functions for fitting and working with generalized additive models, as described in chapter 7 of Statistical Models in S (Chambers and Hastie (eds), 1991), and Generalized Additive Models (Hastie and Tibshirani, 1990).

• akima (0.5-1 or better)
  The akima library for R contains functions used in the gam library.

Xpose 3.104

• Insightful S-PLUS (2000 or better)
  Xpose 3.1 (as well as earlier versions) is a library written in S, as implemented in S-PLUS. Xpose versions <= 3.1 require S-PLUS as a host application, and will run under versions of the software for Microsoft Windows and UNIX/Linux.

Other Software

When complete, Xpose will be a fully-portable graphics library for NONMEM-related programming, meaning that it will be possible to embed it in other software.

• Census
  Census is a management application for NONMEM-based modelling projects. Census will adopt Xpose as its default visualization library - becoming its first de facto Windows frontend.
  
  
• Perl-speaks-NONMEM (PsN)
  PsN is a powerful, Perl-based environment for facilitating NONMEM model development. Xpose, Census and PsN will form a tightly-knit web of open-source, freely-available applications for NONMEM modelling and simulation.
  
  
• R(D)COM Server
  R, and by extension Xpose, can communicate with any other application in the Windows environment (Excel, for example). The R(D)COM server facilitates this process.
